About Pair O’ Docs Farm
Our Story
Pair O’ Docs is an 83 acre horse farm located in the beautiful mountains of Bremen Alabama. It was bought in 1998 by owner, Lucy Andrews and her husband whom are both retired doctors from UAB! Here we offer boarding, leasing, riding lessons, trail rides, volunteering, and more!
Our Services
Riding Lessons
We offer traditional english and western riding lessons. We also offer beginner level lessons for jumping, dressage, and barrel racing.
Lessons are usually held once a week.
Price: $40 per lesson (1 hour)
Trail Rides
Take a scenic and relaxing 1 hour trail ride through our beautiful mountain trails!
Rides are $40 per person.
No one under 13 can ride the trails (alternatives are offered).
3 person Max limit.

Boarding

Need a comfortable place for your horse to stay without a worry of their care? Well, you’re in the right place!
Boarding costs $250/month.
This fee covers feed, hay, water, and their stay.
Fees do not cover any vet, farrier, or special bills.
A discount is available for any whom agree to allow their horse to be used for our services.

Do you want to know what it’s like to own a horse without the full mental and financial responsibility? Leasing sounds like the thing for you!
For $150/month, you can lease one of our horses. The only other expenses are anything you choose to purchase for the horse. You are allowed to come spend time with, ride, groom, etc with your horse. Most tack is available for you to use as well.
You are not allowed to take the horse off property and staff always gets first grabs on the horse no matter the circumstances.

We are now offering 30 day training periods. Bring your horse to be trained for 30 continuous days for small problem fixes.

Volunteering
How Can You Help?
At Pair O’ Docs Farm, we offer volunteering opportunities! Volunteers are able to pick their own hours and days they work as long as it accommodates with the staff’s schedule and as long as they show up for the required 2 hours a week.
You must be 13 or older to volunteer. Volunteers are not allowed to ride except for possible special occasions if permitted by the manager.

Lucy is the owner of Pair O’ Docs! She’s a wonderful sweet horsewoman who cares deeply about her animals and friends! She has been riding since she was a young girl and still to this day does whatever she can to keep her equine heart alive! We couldn’t ask for a better person to run our farm! She’s a perfect welcome to every visitor! We all love mrs Lucy!

Gabby Abbott is our manager and riding instructor! She has devoted the last 6 years of her life to learning everything she can about horse care and riding. She strives to build her future in this career by doing what she loves most. She is devoted to running our lesson and trail program, managing volunteers and other employees, handling our horses exercising and training, and more!
We are grateful for the time we’ve had Gabby, since she was 16!
